The last time I visited Banff I was 10 years old. My mother Tami had driven my brother and I all the way from St. Louis Missouri to Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, and all the way back home for us to attend summer camp at the Canadian Professional Hockey School. What a dedicated Mom, right?
I bought my first Edmonton Oilers hat on August 7th, 1988 and two days later my hockey idol Wayne Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. The next year rival Calgary Flames went on to win the Stanley Cup. Sorry Edmonton fans I brought you bad luck so if anything this event is my chance to redeem myself in the eyes of Edmontonians.
The Banff Western Connection is one of the largest REALTOR® Association events in Canada representing the provinces from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
It was so cool because of the fun people who participated in the social media presentations and panel.
Nicole Nicolay kicked off the shin dig with her evolution of marketing prezo followed by a powerful blogging panel featuring Richard Silver, Kelley Skar, and Teri Conrad. Check out their blogs as really good examples.
Sherry Chris with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate gave her presentation on “LifeStyle Branding” which I absolutely loved.
Steve Jagger presented on Outsourcing based off the book 4-hour work week which was a big inspiration from me. You can check out more of his ideas on social media from his book “Sociable“.
This assignment was a gift from God because I love Canada, went snowboarding at stayed at the spectacular Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
Check out the video demonstrating I have no skills when it comes to snowboarding.
I presented 40 minutes on Marketing with Video. Here is the PowerPoint.

This is definitely by far my most favorite location, event, and best time ever. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great group of people including Bill Madder, the staff of the Association of Saskatchewan of REALTORS and speakers who did such an amazing job.
If you attended what was your favorite part?
